CLASSROOM LENDING LIBRARY BOOKS

Since Horizons doesn't have a universal library, EDB helps bring diverse books into classrooms each year. For one month, an EDB volunteer checks out 10 books per classroom from local libraries (with librarian support) for read-alouds, DEAR time, or student check-out, then collects and returns them at month's end.

Books from diverse perspectives help students see the world through different eyes — building empathy, critical thinking, and a sense of belonging for all.
