Let's talk about Diversity and How to Grow a Conversation:
How to Grow a Conversation Garden with Pedro Silva
The proposed session, "How to Grow a Conversation Garden" will be an interactive session designed to help participants cultivate their capacity for meaningful conversations across differences. Using the metaphor of a garden, the session explores the essential elements needed for generative dialogue—creating a supportive environment, planting seeds of understanding, and nurturing connections over time. Through guided discussion and hands-on exercises, participants will reflect on their own conversational "gardens" and practice strategies for fostering open, courageous, and growth-oriented exchanges. By embracing the inherent risks and rewards of dialogue, they will gain tools to build stronger relationships and more inclusive communities. This session is for to students (ages 13+), parents, and teachers, offering a shared space to learn, connect, and grow together.
