What is Share a Gift?
Since 1972, 50+ years, Share-A-Gift has been helping children of families in need with holiday gifts in Colorado’s Boulder Valley School District.
Share–A–Gift relies on donations of new and gently-used toys, books, games, puzzles, and bikes from families throughout the area. Collection events are held at schools, businesses, and churches. We were able to provide gifts for almost 1,600+ children representing over 600+ families in 2023.

The Community Cycles bike drive is how Share-A-Gift is able to give away bikes. Community Cycles fixes them up starting now so they are ready to roll as gifts in December.

The Kids Holiday Bike Giveaway is Community Cycles’ oldest ongoing event, since 2006! Our Bike and Helmet Giveaway is a community event from beginning to end. Throughout the year, Community Cycles receives used and new kids’ bikes donated by you, our Boulder/Denver community. During the fall season, volunteer mechanics donate their time preparing bikes for the December event. Overall, a hundred volunteers and staff put on this event to distribute 300+ bikes + helmets for the whole family, seeking equitable access to bicycles throughout our community. That’s a whole lot of smiles!
